Glacier Ridge Media, meet Down East Donairs.

Down East Donairs is a great new food spot on Bond St., downtown Oshawa. The restaurant serves an authentic Halifax donair.  People often confuse a Donair with the Greek or Turkish Gyro, however there is one major difference.  The popular Halifax donair is characterized by having a very sweet sauce in comparison to the Gyro’s stronger tasting tzatziki sauce. The result,  beautifully seasoned meat topped with tomatoes, onions, cheese, lettuce and a great tasting sweet sauce all wrapped in a warm pita. Simply put, a combination you just HAVE to try.

In early February, Glacier Ridge Media teamed up with Shane and Christina Walker of  Down East Donairs (www.facebook.com/RealDonairs) to create a brand identity for their new business. The solution was a bold and memorable icon focusing on the Canadian roots of the company. The logo was designed with the future success of Down East Donairs in mind. The logo is simple,  fonts and colours are both clean and bold. Consideration was taken to produce a logo that was clearly visible on hats, signage, aprons and future promotional material to increase brand recognition.
